Avalanche Place 2 More Players on Waivers

The Avalanche placed forward Danil Gushchin and defenseman Wyatt Aamodt on waivers on Wednesday.

If they clear, they’ll likely be part of the next round of roster cuts as the team inches closer to their season opener next Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings. Both will likely report to the AHL’s Colorado Eagles when they are officially cut from the NHL roster.

The Avs are in Vegas to take on the Golden Knights later on Wednesday before closing out the preseason Saturday on the road against the Dallas Stars.
