Colorado Hockey Now
The Avalanche are facing Mikko Rantanen and the Dallas Stars tonight, in the first of four meetings this season between the two clubs.
It’s hard to say how much of the Game 7 loss still stings the core group for Colorado, but you have to imagine they want to win this game. Will it feel like actual revenge? Probably not, given that it’s the third game of the regular season.
But it would be a big step towards continuing this no-nonsense season, where I’m sure the No. 1 seed in the Central Division is the goal.
This is also a whopper of a milestone for Brent Burns, who plays his 1,500th game tonight. Burns chatted with us on Friday and was very reflective of his lengthy career. There were some really good quotes in this story below.
