Deen’s Daily: Annoying Ending for Avs; Red Wings Bounce Back; Penguins Fall Flat

Published

on

It was déjà vu, in a way, for the ending between the Avalanche and Stars. The Red Wings bounced back, the Penguins fell flat, and Florida won’t stop losing.

All that and more on this edition of Deen’s Daily — October 12.

Colorado Hockey Now

The Avalanche and Stars treated the Ball Arena crowd to an intense rivalry matchup. Big hits, fights, first career goals, lead changes, and so much more.

In the end, it was the Stars who came out on top. And it was Mikko Rantanen, again, scoring the final goal to send Colorado home with just one of two points. Here’s The Aftermath of Colorado’s third game of the season.

Around The NHL

Montreal Hockey Now: Another big win for the Habs and another big goal for none other than Zachary Bolduc. Albeit, the late game winner came from someone else.

Pittsburgh Hockey Now:  The Pens early season luck has seemingly run out, at least for a night. They did get a nice first goal from another rookie.

Florida Hockey Now: The Panthers haven’t had the toughest schedule or any travel to start the season yet. But still, doing what they did to the Ottawa Senators is a statement win.

Detroit Hockey Now: For a period or so, it looked like things were going to go from bad to worse in the first two games of the season for Detroit. Instead, they got through another disastrous start and doubled up the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Quite frankly, the Red Wings needed that.
