Deen’s Daily: Avs Careless in OT; Detroit’s Tobacco Ban; Injuries in New Jersey

Published

on

The Avalanche went to OT again and lost. Again. The Devils have another notable injury. Also, a city-wide ban in Detroit has shaken the Red Wings locker room.

All that and more on this edition of Deen’s Daily — November 2.

The Avs called up Taylor Makar ahead of this game. The younger brother of Cale made his debut, and saw limited ice time in San Jose in front of the family.

Colorado scored first before falling behind. Eventually, the game was knotted up heading into OT and the Avs lost in extra time again.

Make that five OTLs already — one more than they had all of last season.

I’m betting that Detroit banned all “tobacco products” because of left-behind spitters (which is f***ing gross). I never understood what draws the hockey world to dip as opposed to smoking… I think I was about 13 years old when I noticed most of teammates were dipping.

Derek

Because dip does effect cardio like smoking can

Jeremy

When I was playing hockey growing up my coach dipped & would just spit all over the ice. On more than one occasion I got it on me. 🤢
