The Colorado Avalanche (17-1-6) are back at home to take on the Montreal Canadiens (13-7-3) in their second Nordiques vintage game of the season. Puck drop is scheduled for 1:08 p.m. MT.

  • The Avs ar 12-0-3 in their last 15 games despite seeing their 10-game winning streak end at the hands of the Minnesota Wild on Friday.
  • Nathan MacKinnon became the first player to reach 40 points on Friday, scoring 19 goals and 22 assists in 24 games. This is the quickest the superstar center has reached 40 points in his career. MacKinnon has 17 points in 19 games and Montreal in his career.
  • Despite being on pace for more than a hundred points, the Habs are struggling to close out games in regulation. Their victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday was just their eighth regulation win through the first 23 games.
  • Both teams played early matinee games on Friday before flying in to Denver to set up for an earlier Saturday puck drop.
