Miner backed up for Blackwood in each of the first three games of the road trip following an injury to Scott Wedgewood at Ball Arena on Tuesday.

Miner’s reassignment means Wedgewood, who is on the trip, is at least going to dress as one of the two goalies on Tuesday when the road trip ends in Nashville. It’s also a real possibility that he starts, given Blackwood’s recent workload.

Wedgewood is 13-1-3 in 19 starts with a sparkling .920 save percentage and a 2.07 goals-against average. The Avalanche and Canucks were tied 1-1 when Wedgewood exited with an injury.
