The Avs got a big power play goal and then got a masterful performance from Mackenzie Blackwood in the third period to secure two points in Philadelphia on the second half of a back-to-back.

Blackwood’s biggest save of the 14 shots he faced in the third period was on Trevor Zegras.
The NHL’s best shootout specialist got a penalty shot in the third period with an opportunity to tie the game up at 3-3.
Blackwood was up for the task, and it helped secure the win.

Blackwood has started four of five games, and has ended each of the last five games.
That likely won’t be the case on Tuesday, as it appears that Scott Wedgewood is heading towards a return after missing three games with an injury.
