Deen’s Daily: Nylander Fined; Defenseman Traded; Toews Return Imminent
We have a defenseman off the board, as an intra-state trade was consummated late on Monday night. Also, William Nylander was fined, and it appears Devon Toews could be back in the lineup as early as Wednesday.
All that and more on this edition of Deen’s Daily — January 27.
Colorado Hockey Now
Monday was a slow day for the Avs. They took the day off and remained in snowy and cold Toronto to practice ahead of a game in Ottawa. They begin a three-game stretch in four nights tomorrow, culminating in a battle against the Red Wings on Saturday afternoon.
In the meantime, the team sent down Isak Posch and Jack Ahcan. Posch was sent down because Scott Wedgewood is back with the team. Ahcan was sent down, likely because Devon Toews will be ready to play on Wednesday. We’ll have to wait and see.
In the meantime, here are two articles I wrote over the weekend. In case you missed them.
