The Avs got shut out for the first time on Monday. Barry Trotz shockingly announced that he’s stepping away from his post as Nashville Predators general manager. Also, the Sabres are still hot, and the Florida Panthers are falling out of favor.

The Avs let in a goal just 33 seconds in and spent the next 59 minutes chasing. They couldn’t tie it, and a late empty netter sealed the first Red Wings win at Ball Arena since 2015 when they shutout the Avs 3-0.
