Can the Colorado Avalanche get their revenge on the Seattle Kraken?

The Avalanche are visiting Seattle for the first time since the Kraken knocked them out of the playoffs in the first round last season.

Since then, both sides bolstered their teams with key free-agent signings.

Vegas favors the revenge-seeking Avalanche, who sit at -162 to win on Tuesday night.

The puckline sits at -1.5, which Colorado is slotted at +152 to cover.

So, what changed since these two teams last met?

The Avalanche added more depth up front, trading for Ryan Johansen and signing Ross Colton, Jonathan Drouin, Miles Wood and Tomas Tatar.

Seattle, meanwhile, signed forward Kailer Yamamoto and defenseman Brian Dumoulin to bolster a roster that made it to the postseason in just its second season since joining the NHL in 2021.

Colorado is riding high with contributions from up and down the lineup, coming into the game at 2-0-0.

The Kraken, meanwhile, have stumbled out of the gate, starting the season 0-2-1 with just two goals scored in three total games.

Seattle has only managed to score one goal at even strength and one goal on seven tries on the power play.

Colorado, sitting at 1-for-8, has struggled even more on the power play.

The over/under on Tuesday’s game is 6.5, with odds for the under to hit being -128.

Much like these $200 no deposit bonus 200 free spins, that is a pretty good bet.

The Avalanche, despite holding the league’s best record, have only scored six total goals this season.

Three of them were scored 5-on-5, one was scored 6-on-5 with the goalie pulled, one was scored on the power play and one was an empty-netter.

Granted, a 51-save outing from MacKenzie Blackwood on Saturday shut down a lot of effective chances from Colorado’s offense.

The Avalanche generated 49 scoring chances and 23 high-danger chances only to score one goal before winning 2-1 in a shootout on Saturday night.

Seattle, who have allowed at least three goals in two of their first three games, may allow Colorado to capitalize on more of those scoring opportunities.

And the Avalanche certainly have a roster full of stars.

Nathan MacKinnon is +105 to score at any time, +850 to open the scoring and -200 to record an assist.

Miko Rantanen, who had four points in Colorado’s season-opener in Los Angeles, is -340 to record a point on Tuesday, +120 to score a goal at any time and +900 to open the scoring.

Star defenseman Cale Makar is +330 to score a goal at any time, +2200 to open the scoring and -146 to record an assist in the Avalanche’s third game of the season.

Drouin, who slotted in on the top line next to MacKinnon and Rantanen, is +480 to score a goal at any time and +2800 to open the scoring on Tuesday.

He is also +4400 to score multiple goals on Tuesday night.

Johansen, who has slotted in seamlessly as the second-line center, is currently +400 to score a goal at any time and +2400 to be the game’s first goal scorer.

With a deep roster on both sides of the puck, the Avalanche are favorites to get revenge on the Kraken in their first meeting since last year’s playoffs.
