In the second period of Saturday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Colorado Avalanche were on life support, having just given up two straight goals after being outshot 14-1 to start the middle session.

Cale Makar brought them back to life.

The best defenseman in the world laid down the hammer on Seth Jarvis at the defensive blueline, and with one hit, he didn’t just wake up the crowd, he also woke up the Avalanche.
