Avalanche Turning Point: Makar, Jones Help Kickstart Some Momentum (+)

In the Turning Point, we’ll take a look at one moment in the previous Colorado Avalanche game that changed the momentum of the game.

With Sam Girard and Josh Manson unable to play on Monday night, the Avalanche turned to Sam Malinski and Caleb Jones for help. While Malinski played very solid for his first NHL game, Jones really stood out.

With the game 1-0, and the Avalanche having created little to no offense through 24 minutes, a strong forechecking shift by the top line started to turn the momentum a bit, and the skating ability of both Cale Makar and Jones proved to be difficult for the Kraken to handle.
