Avalanche Turning Point: O’Connor, Penalty Kill Hold Down The Fort (+)

In the Turning Point, we’ll take a look at one moment in the previous Colorado Avalanche game that changed the momentum of the game.

An undisciplined penalty by Mikko Rantanen in the second period gave the Ducks a chance to get back into the game. Despite the Avalanche heavily outplaying Anaheim, they only had a one goal lead, and this was an opportunity for the road team to not only tie the game up, but potentially take the lead.

Luckily for Rantanen, the penalty kill, led by Logan O’Connor, held down the fort and didn’t give the Ducks a chance to create any momentum.
