In the Turning Point, we’ll take a look at one moment in the previous Colorado Avalanche game that changed the momentum of the game.

Heading into Monday night’s game, the Tampa Bay Lightning had scored nine powerplay goals in their previous five games.

No, that’s not a typo. That’s how good they’ve been. Colorado’s powerplay has been humming along pretty well of late, but even then, they’ve only scored eight goals in their last eight games, so that goes to show how well the Lightning were playing with the man advantage.

Until Monday night.

The Avalanche shut them down, and when the Lightning did find a seam, Alexandar Georgiev was there to do his part.
