Avalanche Turning Point: Overtime Needs To Be Discussed (+)

Avalanche

In the Turning Point, we’ll take a look at one moment in the previous Colorado Avalanche game that changed the momentum of the game.

It was a tale of two overtimes for the Avalanche. For the first half, they had possession of the puck, but didn’t do much with it. In the second half, they gave away chances and were on their heels.

Prior to the game winning goal, two Avalanche players were stuck on the ice for an extended period of time. One was not, but they failed to use that to their advantage. There were A LOT of mistakes made for this game to have even gotten past regulation, but some of the overtime decisions both on the ice, and by the staff, need to be discussed.
