Avalanche Game 19 at Philadelphia Flyers: Lines, Notes & How to Watch

Published

on

The Avalanche face off against the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night to start a four-game road trip. Puck drop is set for 5:13 p.m. MT at Wells Fargo Center.

Colorado is looking to bounce back from a 5-2 loss to the Washington Capitals last week, but they will have to do so without Alexandar Georgiev between the pipes. The Russian netminder is out day-to-day with an upper-body injury. He traveled with the team and skated Monday morning, per head coach Jared Bednar.

Nathan MacKinnon leads the team and league with 33 points, while Mikko Rantanen and Cale Makar each have 25. Thus, the Avs are the only team with multiple skaters with 25-plus points.

The Flyers beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-2 on Saturday night and have won their last three games. Former Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson played in his 1,000th career game but said on social media he will celebrate when he plays against the club he spent 13 seasons with.

Bednar said he may shuffle around his top two lines, so expect different combinations in Philly. Annunen did not play well against the Capsโ€”he gave up three goals in six shots before being pulledโ€”but Bednar said the entire team had an off night and didn’t blame the loss solely on goaltending.

I think the game is on NHL Network only. Not Altitude TV

I believe that depends if the NHL Network guys are calling the game or if they’re just showing the home team broadcast crew, if it’s the latter, then the game should be on Altitude also.
