Avalanche lines and D pairs for Coyotes, with Arizona starting goalie info and locker room audio

Hello from the Pepsi Center, where the Avs just finished up their morning skate in preparation for tonight’s game with the Arizona Coyotes.

Here are the lines and D pairs for the Avs:

Landeskog-MacKinnon-Rantanen

Donskoi-Kadri-Burakovsky

Nieto-Jost-Wilson

Calvert-Bellemare-Nichushkin

D

Girard-Johnson

Zadorov-Makar

Graves-Barberio

Pavel Francouz will make his first career NHL start for the Avs. Obviously, a big night for him. He politely declined to speak with the media this morning.

J.T. Compher skated again, but Jared Bednar said he won’t play. Ian Cole, Vladislav Kamenev and Kevin Connauton are the other scratches.

The Colorado Eagles played in Ontario, Calif., last night by the way and won something of a miracle game. Jayson Megna scored two goals in the final 2:12 of regulation to tie it, then he assisted on Jacob MacDonald’s overtime goal to win it 4-3. Adam Werner stopped 33-of-36 shots in goal for the Eagles.

Conor Timmins played, though I couldn’t see anywhere on the AHL website how many minutes he played.

Phil Kessel will play his 1000th career game tonight.

Here are a couple of minutes with the captain, Landy, about his thoughts on tonight’s game. It’ll be Francouz vs. the Coyotes’ backup goalie, Antti Raanta.
