Avs take care of business in Ottawa

OTTAWA – Well, that was a bit of a weird one. Not in the final score, not in so much how the game was played. Just a…very…quiet…building here in Ottawa. I’m not sure there has ever been an Avs road game that sounded like a home game, but that was kind of the feeling that pervaded at the Canadian Tire Center.

There were a lot of Avs jerseys in the stands, and they had a lot to cheer about as the Avs beat the Senators. I’ve always known there were more Avs fans in this area than your usual place in the NHL circuit, thanks in good part to the fact that Ottawa isn’t too far from where this franchise used to exist, in Quebec City.
