Nathan MacKinnon’s game-winner in Columbus isn’t to be forgotten

Honestly, that was one of the best shots I’ve seen in my 25 years of covering the Avalanche. Nathan MacKinnon’s shot that beat the Columbus Blue Jackets was unbelievable.

That won a big road game for the Avs, on Game 4 of a 5-game road trip. I had feeling this trip would finish well, after that opening loss to Philly, and so far, at least, there has been no DaterJinx.

Let’s look at the goal by MacK again:

That was a big-time shot. That was a goal-scorer’s goal, a goal that deserves every cliche imaginable like the one I just used.

Avs are now 3-1-0 on this trip and creeping a bit closer to the St. Louis Blues in the race for the Central Division.
