Sunday Avs and NHL notes; MacKinnon “Oh boy” moment gone viral

Published

Happy Sunday to all. If you missed the details of the resumption of last night’s Avs-Golden Knights game, we had Scott MacDonald there on the scene with a good write-up.

That was a great win for the Avs, and now they have a mostly healthy team. Well, except for a very good defenseman and a backup goalie, which is kind of an important position. But let’s move on:

  • The “Oh boy” moment from Alex Pietrangelo has officially gone viral

  • Avs are off today, but will play the Golden Knights again tomorrow at Ball Arena. Winning three out of four from Vegas would be huge, but it’s gonna be another tough game regardless.

AROUND THE LEAGUE

  • It appears to be a race between Auston Matthews and Connor McDavid for the Hart Trophy right now. My vote would be for Matthews. Lots of hockey to be played though. (Sportsnet)
  • Nice write-up by Dan Kingerski on Sidney Crosby, who played his 1,000th NHL game last night (Pittsburgh Hockey Now)
  • Should the Nashville Predators just tank it, to get a good pick? (Hockey News)
  • Did you see this little move by Cale Makar last night?
