GAME WORN HOCKEY JERSEY EXPO THIS SATURDAY NEXT TO BALL ARENA

Published

on

A group of 15-20 long-time local and out-of-state collectors will have a game-worn jersey display this Saturday prior to the Avalanche-Sharks game at Ball Arena. The expo is free to attend to the public and especially all hockey fans arriving early for the Avs game.
The expo will be in a ballroom of the Springhill Suites in Denver at 1190 Auraria Parkway, which is across the street from Ball Arena, making it convenient for fans attending the game to also enjoy the expo. The doors will open to the public at 10 AM, but the expo will only be open until 6 PM to allow the exhibitors to also attend the 7 PM Avalanche game. So hockey fans need to arrive early to see not only a wide variety of newer Avalanche and Denver University game-worn jerseys, but a good amount of vintage game-worn jerseys from past local teams like the Colorado Rockies (the NHL team from 1976-82) and the early 70’s Denver Spurs. A fair amount of vintage Quebec Nordiques jerseys will also be displayed. Many exhibitors will also have game-worn jerseys displayed of a variety of other NHL, minor league and college teams. Examples of what will be displayed are shown in the attached pictures.
While many exhibitors will be buying, selling, and trading jerseys amongst themselves, the general public will also have an opportunity to also purchase jerseys, and are encouraged to bring along any game-worn jerseys they may have collected over the years to offer for sale or trade.
Some exhibitors will also have other items for sale such as older Avalanche game programs and others items primarily related to local teams, both current and vintage.
If any fans have any additional questions about the expo, please email your questions to txavsfan19@yahoo.com.
