Dater’s Daily: Shane Bowers Return Soon, Stars Red Hot, Eichel Recovering

Bowers Avs

Good Wednesday to all. A nice, sunny day in Denver on tap. Let’s do some hockey links, thoughts and observations, starting with something on Avs prospect Shane Bowers:

  • I’m hearing that Shane Bowers could return to action for the Colorado Eagles this weekend. He has only played one game so far this season, because of injury. This season, so far, has obviously been a tough one for him. He still has yet to play in an NHL game, and he was drafted in 2017.
  • The Dallas Stars have won seven in a row. What has been the key? The top line (Dallas Morning News)
  • The Evander Kane saga shows no sign of stopping. He’s got a restraining order on his estranged wife now (San Jose Hockey Now)
  • TSN Insiders: Could Jack Eichel play in the Olympics? Could more players follow Robin Lehner and opt-out? Reportedly, between a handful and a couple of dozen players may bail on the games.
  • Speaking of Eichel, he appears to be doing very well in his rehab from neck surgery (Sportsnet)
