Why the Avs Won – Again

It’s all starting to feel a little surreal, isn’t it? Sixteen wins in a row at home. A 17-1-1 record in the last 19 games. A division title that’s starting to feel wrapped up already. For the Colorado Avalanche, life is a Cars song these days.



I’m starting to feel like I did back in the glory days of covering this team. I’m starting to run out of superlatives to describe the Avs’ play. Just like those old days, winning became almost boring. Yet, this is how you want to go through life bored, if possible.

“We’re just going to try and keep it going,” Avs coach Jared Bednar said. “Try to get better every day.”
