Bo Byram Skating Again

Byram Avalanche

Bo Byram was back on skates this morning at the Avalanche’s practice facility, Colorado Hockey Now has learned.

Byram, who has been on personal leave from the Avalanche, skated for a good while at Family Sports Center. He also shot pucks and did other things hockey players do.

Byram’s last game was Jan. 10 against Seattle. He accompanied the team to its next game, in Nashville, but did not play. The Avs said he left the team for personal reasons, and that’s the way it’s been since. Byram has been bothered by concussion issues since joining the Avs.

The 20-year-old defenseman was having a very good season when he took the personal leave, with 11 points in 18 games. If he can return to the Avs, he would obviously give the team a big boost on the back end.

But that decision will obviously be up to Byram and medical personnel.
