AVS WRAP: Observations from Game 1, look ahead to Game 2 (+)

Well, maybe the Avs could just flip a switch after all.

That was the feeling I had after last night’s 7-2 demolition of Nashville by the Avalanche in Game 1, Round 1. I thought it was going to be a close game. My official pick for the game, for Bookies.com where I make picks every single day of the hockey season, was Nashville plus 1.5 goals. Meaning, I’d win the pick if Nashville either won the game or didn’t lose by two or more goals. Good thing I didn’t put real money on it.

I thought Nashville would look more loose and confident, in a “Hey, we got nothing to lose” kind of way. Wrong. The Avs just flat-out dominated the Predators from start to finish.
