Nathan MacKinnon Looking Like Nathan MacKinnon On Ice Today In Denver (Video)

Here’s a new name in the Avalanche cognoscenti that you may see more of on this site, a young man named Brennan Vogt. Follow him on Twitter @AvsTerritory. Brennan had some outstanding video today of the group of Avalanche players that skated together at Family Sports Center, one of whom was Nathan MacKinnon.
Yes, MacK is back in town and skating regularly with the boys on hand. Let’s take a look:

Newhook in town too:

Brennan even got a shot of Alexandar Georgiev’s new mask:

I like the mask. Mostly white, snowman style.

Nathan MacKinnon coming back to town so early is a nice indicator of how he’s approaching the coming season. How good it must feel for him, too, to be here with a Stanley Cup now to his name. On opening day (or close to that day) he’ll get a big fat ring on his finger too. Can you imagine how off the chain (I’m too old to use that phrase, but screw it) opening night is going to be?
I think it’s great that Georgiev is already in town too, so players can get used to being around him on (and off) the ice. Let’s face it, he’s a guy with a lot of pressure on him for the coming season, so if he can get acclimated earlier to this organization, and his new teammates, the better IMO.
Sam Girard being back and skating regularly is another great sign. I’m told that he’s fully recovered from his sternum injury.
