Avalanche-Predators Game Postponed

I was overstuffed on turkey and the all of the fixens’. I had a plan, to let the let the little guy play around the house and watch his movies while I watched the game. Sounds like that will not happen today. The NHL just announced that the Avalanche versus Predators game will be postponed due to flooding at the arena. There was a water main break at the arena this morning that postponed one out of two events officially.

The Avalanche had a optional practice yesterday in which only a few players attended. As expected, Evan Rodrigues and Mikko Rantanen were not there due to their lingering injuries. Rantanen no doubt has a broken nose while Rodrigues is being called lower body for now. So on the bright side, this will give an extra day of rest on an already beat up team. Right after their practice the team caught a flight out to Nashville with hopes of playing an early afternoon game. There was a scheduled college game tonight at Bridgestone between Northeastern and Western Michigan, forcing the NHL game into the afternoon. As of right now, only the Avalanche game was postponed.

The league has not announced a makeup date at this time. For those of you wondering, the game will have to be played in Nashville to keep the schedule balanced. So don’t plan on an extra game getting put on the Ball Arena schedule (although that would be fun).
