The Colorado Avalanche will try to win for a fifth time in the last six games tonight, against the Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena. The game starts at 6 p.m. mountain.

The last time the Avalanche were in the Music City, the game was postponed before of a water main break.

I don’t believe there is any Denver media in Nashville for this game, with it so close to Christmas, including us. So, the lineup notes here are courtesy of Avalanche radio man Conor McGahey:

So, Alexandar Georgiev gets the start. Interesting, that Denis Malgin is already getting some second PP unit time. It’ll be interesting to see how he does. I haven’t been told of any new injuries to explain this.

I’ll actually be able to watch the game tonight on my television, as I just signed up for Fubo, which gets Altitude. I’m watching a real good episode of “Avalanche 360” right now, with the focus of the show on Gabe Landeskog’s day with the Cup in Sweden, and also Cale Makar’s in Calgary.

I’ll update this story with the actual lineup, when the Avalanche list it later in the day. The Avs are -115 favorites to win the game, at SuperBook Colorado.

The Predators will wear their reverse retros tonight. Jussi Saros is expected to get the start in goal for Nashville.

Filip Forsberg (483) passed Martin Erat (481) and moved into sole possession of third place on the Predators’ all-time points list on Nov. 8 at Seattle. He is six points from becoming the third player in team history to reach the 500-point milestone. Forsberg is tied with Josi and Matt Duchene for Nashville’s lead in points with 25 (9g-16a).
