The Colorado Avalanche won their sixth consecutive game, and Kris Letang dazzled in his emotional return to the lineup.

Before Tuesday’s game, it was announced Cale Makar would miss his fourth straight game for the Avalanche.

It did not matter, as Alexandar Georgiev was stellar in net to beat the Capitals.

Outside of Georgiev, Sam Girard was a standout in the victory.

Pittsburgh: Kris Letang was the star in his emotional return to the lineup for the Penguins.

Boston: The Bruins were led by the usual suspects in their victory over Montreal.

San Jose: Kevin Lebanc returned to the lineup after being healthy scratched for four games.

New York Islanders: According to Elliotte Friedman, the Islanders are interested in Jakob Chychrun.

Vegas: Logan Thompson was very critical of himself after the Golden Knights lost in overtime.

Philadelphia: Is their friction between Kevin Hayes and John Tortorella? Don’t be so sure…

Washington: From the Capitals perspective, Alex Ovechkin lasered a puck into the net, but would not say he was 100%.

Detroit: Andrew Copp may have scored the biggest goal of the season for the Red Wings.

Montreal: Sean Monahan is “almost guaranteed” to be dealt by the trade deadline.
