Mikko Rantanen scored his 200th career goal on a feed from his good buddy, Nathan MacKinnon.

The Avalanche went into St. Louis and had one of their stronger performances in 2023, controlling the game from start to finish. Justus Annunen was in net for the win.

The star of the game was Bowen Byram, who was the best player on the ice from the drop of the puck.

Vladislav Gavrikov is a big name out there, and Columbus is looking to get a big haul for him. Boston is one of the teams after him.

Sean Monahan has stalled out a bit in his return from injury, but if he can come back, there really aren’t a lot of centers on the market. Montreal might be able to take advantage.

Elliott Friedman on Sportsnet had a lot of updates, including why the Maple Leafs traded for Ryan O’Reilly. He isn’t sure Tyler Bertuzzi is available anymore given the Red Wings hot streak. Once Gavrikov is dealt, expect Dmitri Kulikov to become a popular name.
