GOTTA SEE IT: Byram Scores a Beauty

Bowen Byram

The Colorado Avalanche dropped four goals on the Montreal Canadiens in the first period on Monday night, but none were prettier than the one Bowen Byram scored.

It was Byram’s first goal in eight games, and he made it a memorable one. The young defenseman took a bounce pass off the boards from Samuel Girard, and then went to work, going around the defenseman and cutting in front of Jake Allen.

In the first game of a four game road trip, the Avalanche wanted to get off to a hot start, and they did exactly that.

Take a look at the goal, which put the Avalanche up by two at the time. Byram and the Avalanche took a 4-1 lead into the second period.
