VIDEO: Cale Makar Back on the Ice, Joins Avalanche Morning Skate
Good news for Avalanche fans on Tuesday morning, as Cale Makar was back on the ice in a non-contact jersey. He skated before practice with skills coach Shawn Allard, getting back into a rhythm. As far as we know, this is the first time he’s skated since playing last Saturday.
The news got even better, as Makar felt good enough to stick around for morning skate with the team. The belief is that the lower-body injury he’s dealing with is minor, and the Avalanche have been holding him out as a precaution more than anything.
He won’t play on Tuesday night against the Edmonton Oilers, but it’s good sign that he’s back on the ice. I have no concerns that he’ll miss any playoff games, and I still think there’s a good chance he plays before the playoffs.
Check out some video of Makar before skate and from morning skate. Stay tuned to CHN for more updates on Makar and the team.
