Some crazy news around the NHL on Thursday, as former Avalanche forward Alex Galchenyuk is likely to have his contract terminated by the Arizona Coyotes. After the reason came out, it makes sense.

With the Colorado Avalanche, we took a look at six bargain UFA’s that would make sense for the team.

Around the NHL

A lot has happened with Alex Galchenyuk over the last few weeks. The Avalanche moved him to Nashville, who chose not to re-sign him. As a UFA, he signed in Arizona (again).

On Thursday, the Coyotes moved to terminate his contract completely. Here’s the reason why…

Nobody was injured in the incident, and the NHLPA will have to figure out how to approach this situation. Hopefully Galchenyuk gets help if he needs it.
