POLL: Which New Avalanche Acquisition Are You Most Excited About?
Barring the Colorado Avalanche being able to convince someone to sign for below market value, it seems likely they’re done making big additions this summer. That’s not to say they won’t look to add anyone else, but with limited cap space, it might not be a big name.
What you see might be what you get.
With all of that in mind, I wanted to pose a question to all Avalanche fans out there – which new acquisition are you most excited about?
They key word there is “excited.” That doesn’t necessarily mean who you think is going to be the best, or who you think will have the biggest impact, but rather, who you are most excited to see suit up for Colorado next season.
Apologies to all the Fredrik Olofsson fans out there, but he didn’t make the cut on the poll.
No one on this list has had a better career than Ryan Johansen, but can he be the 2C the team needs? Are fans excited to see what he can do in a new situation?
If you’re looking for the most important acquisition of the off-season, it might be Ross Colton. The 26 year old comes with a Stanley Cup pedigree, and has been a dangerous goal scorer since making it to the NHL. His intense brand of hockey should make him a fan favorite right from day one, and is something the team was missing a bit of last season.
Miles Wood is someone the Avalanche clearly have a lot of faith in, as they gave him a 6-year contract, but having played in New Jersey, might be a bit of an unknown to many fans. That unknown could be exciting to a lot of fans. He’s expected to bring speed and size to the bottom six immediately.
And then you have Jonathan Drouin, who is looking to get his career back on track with the Avalanche. He’s got plenty of question marks surrounding him, but there seems to be a lot of excitement around the potential reunion of Drouin with his old Halifax linemate Nathan MacKinnon.
So, who are you most excited to see? Make sure to vote on the poll, and comment down below with your reasoning.
