Avalanche drouin

August is the longest month of the year for hockey fans, but the Colorado Avalanche at least gave us a little something to talk about. The rest, we had to manufacture ourselves.

The organization brought back a familiar face to coach in the AHL, an old friend called it quits for his career, and we dug deep into Jonathan Drouin’s game and the best way for the Avalanche to utilize him.

Here’s a look back at what you might have missed the previous week at CHN, and a peak at what’s coming.

A lot of eyes will be on Jonathan Drouin when he shows up to training camp, because fans are certainly excited about the idea of him rekindling his game with Nathan MacKinnon. I dug into his film from last year, and how the Avalanche could best utilize him. (+)
