Avalanche Turning Point: How Does This Even Happen? (+)

In the Turning Point, we’ll take a look at one moment in the previous Colorado Avalanche game that changed the momentum of the game.

Let’s just say I had a lot of options to choose from with this game.

If you go into the first intermission down 2-0, it’s not the end of the world. Sure, it’s far from an ideal situation, but teams come back from two goal deficits all the time, and there was still plenty of time left in the game.

Unfortunately, with just under 10 seconds left in the first period, and a defensive zone face-off, just about everything went wrong, putting the Avalanche in a big hole they couldn’t dig themselves out of.
