And then the Monday afterwards, it’s preseason time, as the Avalanche will host the Dallas Stars at Ball Arena.
As is the case every year, training camp and rookie practices are free and open to the public at Family Sports, but it’s on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you want a good spot, you might have to show up pretty early, especially on those weekend days. I will be at every event in Denver, but am not planning on traveling for the rookie tournament at the moment. Those games are typically streamed, although we haven’t gotten an official announcement for that yet.
In the coming days, I suspect we will get rosters for the rookie tournament and training camp. We’ll see if there are any surprise PTO’s when the training camp roster comes out.
You won’t have to wait much longer for the return of Avalanche hockey, and it sounds like they might even make watching the team a little easier this season.
