Gotta See It: MacKinnon Walks Bouchard For Spectacular Goal

Nathan MacKinnon is good for at least a handful of highlight-reel goals each season. His second tally in Thursday’s first period at Ball Arena was exactly that.
Mackinnon received a stretch pass at center ice from Devon Toews, undressed Edmonton Oilers No. 1 defenseman Evan Bouchard, and fired it past goalie Stuart Skinner to complete an incredible play.
His second of the game, and second in as many shots — MacKinnon’s tally also gave the Avalanche three goals in the first period for the first time all season.
The reigning Hart Trophy winner is quietly pacing the rest of the league in points and is looking for his first Art Ross Trophy. He scored goals No. 16 and 17 in the first period, pushing him to 72 points through 45 games and a period.
