Deen’s Daily: Makar Listed With Group 1 Today; Avs Roster Cuts; Pietrangelo Speaks
The Avalanche made their first three roster cuts and will likely have an update on Cale Makar’s status later today. Also, Alex Pietrangelo spoke to media in Vegas to provide an update on his career.
All that and more on this edition of Deen’s Daily — September 23.
Colorado Hockey Now
The Avalanche had the day off on Monday. But later today, we should be getting an update from head coach Jared Bednar on the status of Cale Makar. The Avs’ superstar defenseman took an elbow to the face at Magness and only played one more shift before leaving the game for precautionary reasons late in the third period.
It does seem like he’s fine given that he’s listed as an on-ice participant with the NHL roster that will take the ice at 9 a.m.
