Deen’s Daily: Crosby Chasing MacKinnon; Wings Goalie Help; Nichushkin Return?
Sidney Crosby is turning back the clock with his goal-scoring pace. The Red Wings need goalie help. Should that come from their own AHL club? Also, the Avsmight have a huge addition to their lineup tonight.
All that and more on this edition of Deen’s Daily — December 2.

Valeri Nichushkin was a full participant at practice on Monday. Click below for more on what Jared Bednar said about his status.
We could very well be seeing a reunited trio of Nichushkin, Brock Nelson, and Gabe Landeskog. The latter two had a slow offensive start to their season, but now they’re clicking.

Around The NHL
Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Two more goals for Crosby on Monday against the Flyers. He’s at 18 on the season in 25 games after scoring 33 last year in 80 games. Crosby is two back of Nathan MacKinnon (and Morgan Geekie) for the league lead in goals and he’s doing this at 38 years old.
Philly Hockey Now: The 5-1 loss to Pittsburgh was bad. Losing a key forward to injury made it worse.
Detroit Hockey Now: The Red Wings need help in goal. John Gibson is struggling and Cam Talbot is carrying the load but his numbers don’t jump off the charts either. I’m not saying they need to offload any of them, but is it time to call up Sebastian Cossa?
Vegas Hockey Now: Carter Hart spoke to media ahead of his NHL return, which comes later tonight for the Golden Knights.

The 2nd line has been clicking without Nichushkin. In the past 5 games, Nelson, Landeskog, and Colton have combined for 6 goals and 7 assists. Should the Avs ease Nichushkin back into playing on the 3rd line with Drury and Olofsson and keep the current 2nd line intact? Could spreading the wealth make the top 3 lines all better?
I would def do that. Put nuke on 3rd line for tonights game and then switch to 2nd line for road trip.
I was thinking that as well. It’s possible the resurgence of Landy and Nelson is in part due to Colton, who has been incredible recently and one of our most noticeable forwards – even if he hasn’t been scoring himself.
