Even a month ago, there were no reports or thoughts about Mackenzie Blackwood being in the conversation for Team Canada’s Olympics roster. But that’s seemingly changed.
With just 12 days left before the roster is announced, a recent report has linked Blackwood as a finalist for one of the three goaltender spots.

CJ’s Trade Board: Chris Johnston of TSN and The Athletic released his second Trade Board on Thursday. To nobody’s surprise, none of the Avs are on the list. But there are quite a few names that could fill roles for Colorado before te March 6 trade deadline.
The NHL is also entering a holiday freeze late on Friday.
NYI Hockey Now: It’s already been two games without Bo Horvat, and the Isles are hoping to get their centerman back soon. If this stretches for longer than anticipated, it could really hurt their season.
