The Avs are back on the ice this afternoon. The Carolina Hurricanes signed Brandon Bussi to a contract extension, and they got a pretty good deal for what he’s provided for them. Also, a quick turnaround at the Olympics as many of the Avs prepare to hit the ice again later today or tomorrow.

Colorado Hockey Now
It’s hard to believe the Avalanche are already back on the ice. According to the schedule they sent to the media following the San Jose game, Colorado is scheduled to host an optional skate at Family Sports at 2:30 pm MT.
Jared Bednar won’t be made available until after Wednesday’s full team practice. And things will ramp up from there.
In the meantime, two of the qualifying games are well under way in Italy but none of then include the Avs.
Later on, we’ll see Martin Necas and Czechia take on Denmark before Gabe Landeskog and Sweden play Latvia in the later game.
