Key Stories to Watch

The Avs are 1-0-1 against the Preds this season, playing both on the road. Mackenzie Blackwood was in goal for the 3-0 shutout in November, and Scott Wedgewood started on Tuesday when Colorado lost 4-3 in a shootout. Wedgewood is back in goal tonight as he was in the starter’s crease for the optional morning skate.
Gavin Brindley’s return resulted in three lines getting shaken up. Ross Colton was removed from the second line and replaced with Valeri Nichushkin. Colton switched to third-line center to allow Brindley to remain in the top nine. And Jack Drury was moved to 4C, resulting in Zakhar Bardakov getting healthy scratched.
Brindley had two points in his return during Colorado’s 6-2 victory over the Florida Panthers. The rookie forward has four goals and four assists in his last nine games.
Nashville has won two straight games and is 6-4-0 in its last 10.
