- The Avalanche have an opportunity to outright win a season series against the Winnipeg Jets for the first time since 2021-22 if they can win the fourth and final meeting between the two clubs.
- On Thursday, the Avs gave up the first goal before scoring three straight, eventually winning 3-2 in regulatin. Nathan MacKinnon had two third-period goals to lead the way, and Mackenzie Blackwood made 22 saves in goal to earn his third win during the four-game road trip.
- It’s unclear which goalies will play in this game, given the lack of a morning skate or practice on Friday. But it’s possible we’ll see a rematch between Connor Hellebuyck and Blackwood. Hellebuyck has traditionally played well in the regular season against Colorado, while Blackwood is 2-4-1 in his last seven starts against the Jets.
