The Colorado Avalanche’s full 2026-27 regular-season schedule was released Thursday as part of the NHL’s league-wide schedule announcement. Colorado opens the season at Ball Arena against the Los Angeles Kings on Sept. 30, marking the first September regular-season game in franchise history.
The 2026-27 campaign is the first under the NHL’s new collective bargaining agreement, which expands the regular season from 82 to 84 games. The preseason has also been shortened to four games per team, with training camp trimmed accordingly.
Each team will face its division rivals four times, the other teams in its conference three times each, and every team from the opposite conference twice.
