The Colorado Avalanche Hockey will precede training camp by participating in a six-team 2026 Rookie Faceoff Tournament hosted by the San Jose Sharks from Sept. 12-15.
The showcase will feature prospects from the Avalanche, Sharks, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, Utah Mammoth, and Vegas Golden Knights.
The annual showcase, which last year was hosted by the Avs and consisted of fewer clubs, is often an opportunity for younger players and prospects to make an impression before training camp. Gavin Brindley benefited most from his performance at the 2025 showcase, eventually continuing his momentum into training camp and earning an opening-night roster spot.
Rosters for this year’s rendition will be announced in early September.
