Former Colorado Avalanche defenseman Adam Foote was fired from his post as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks, the team announced on Tuesday.

Foote’s assistants and former Avs Brett McLean and Scott Young were also let go.

The Canucks first hired Foote as an assistant coach in 2023 when he joined Rick Tocchet’s staff. That was shortly after an Avalanche trip to Vancouver in one of the last games of Bruce Boudreau’s head coaching career.

Before joining the Canucks, Foote was residing in Denver and working with Altitude T.V.
