Takeaways from Avalanche’s OT win in Florida; Burakovsky emerging

Published

on

SUNRISE, FLA. – Andre Burakovsky is starting to grow on me. At first, I thought he might be a talented-but-too-soft kind of player, the kind of player that has a good game here, a couple bad games there, and just kind of floats by with that.

The actual player that I’ve seen is a harder worker than I previously knew, a guy who is thinking out there too, not just skating by with his talent. The two goals he scored in tonight’s victory at Florida? Well, no way do the Avs have a chance to win without him. He showed he can score the easy goal sometimes, the kind of goal that doesn’t need a syllabus to get there.
