Ball Arena To Require Proof of Vaccination, or Negative Test, Starting Soon

The Avalanche have played three games so far at Ball Arena, and fans who attended were not required to show proof of vaccination for Covid-19, nor show any proof of a recent negative test. That all changes on Nov. 10.

Starting with that date, any fan wishing to attend an event at Ball Arena must show proof of the jab, or if not that, proof of a negative test within the past 72 hours.

From a release issued by Ball Arena.:

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) announced today that starting on November 10, 2021, Ball Arena and Paramount Theatre will require all event attendees, working staff and team personnel age 12 and older to present proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to the specific event.  Attendees under the age of 12 will not be required to show proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event but must wear a face mask at all times.  All staff and attendees age 2 and older will be required to wear a face mask at all times regardless of their vaccination status.  This policy will apply to all events and will remain in place until further notice.

“After consultation with local, state and federal government and health authorities along with the guidance of the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL), National Lacrosse League (NLL) and in consultation with national concert promoters and entertainment providers, the decision to institute these protocols for all events reinforces KSE’s continued commitment to ensuring that the health, safety and wellness of our fans, frontline workers, staff, performers and athletes is our top priority,” said Matt Hutchings, EVP and Chief Operating Officer.  “The verification process for the proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test will take place outside of the entrances at each facility and we encourage our fans to arrive early, come prepared with the required documentation for entry and to wear a face mask at all times while inside the venue except when eating and drinking.”

No masks then for vaccinated or negative test fans?

Jeffrey Zucker

So frustrating. If they’re making us show proof, masks should be optional for the vaccinated.

Bob Neal

I guess they don’t care about their fan base between this and that one can’t watch them on many cable outlets. Stan needs to find a new hobby. I’m even vaccinated.

I suspect they care more about community health, limiting liability and bad PR. I’m sure Stan and his marvelous toupee have 0 to do with this.

Jordan Leonard

If you are vaccinated, then you shouldn’t have any problems wearing a mask and showing proof of vaccination

Cal G

and if you dont have that I gotta bridge to sell ya

Aaron Hinton

You are a medical miracle, Dr. Leonard. We cannot thank you enough for sharing this with us!

Yan Girard

If the mask works, why the six feet?
If the six feet works, why the mask?
If they both work, why the lockdowns?
If the three work, why rushed vaccines?
If vaccines are safe why the “no liability” clause?
If more people die from the vaccines than the virus, why use the vaccines?
If we took two vaccines to keep others safe, why are now “super spreaders”?
Why do the vaccinated have to wear mask again?
If fully vaccinated people can get and transmit covid, why give them the vaccine passeports and privileges?

Here comes all the “scientists.” How about this the Avs really suck right now and not worth the price of admission. That’s probably a smarter way to think of it

Girard ‘s looking awesome btw Yan. Hard to believe anyone who spends their time on here defending the little guy.

“ If more people die from the vaccines than the virus, why use the vaccines?”

Pure bulls***.

Yan Girard

I agree with you. It’s difficult to understand why we use the vaccines in these cases.

You are obviously not American and English is your second language, so I’ll clarify…

That statement, by you, is utter and complete horsesh!+ and you could not prove that claim if your life depended upon it.

Yan Girard

I assure you, I understood well 🙂 . We underestimate the side effects and deaths vaccines and we overestimate the deaths Covid. Unfortunately, this is a fact. You don’t believe? Do your research. Already several vaccines have been suspended. It must VERY GOOD REASONS to suspend vaccines. Obviously, we don’t disclose all deaths because we want to continue the vaccination.

Even if the deaths caused by COVID were overestimated by a factor of 2 (which would mean the actual death rate would be half of what is reported), they would FAR outnumber the deaths that can attributed directly to the mRNA vaccines or any of the side effects caused by them. Your first link reports 6 deaths…SIX. The 2nd link is about the suspension of the vaccines due to myocarditis, a condition that is known to be caused by COVID itself as well as being a side effect of the vaccines. The CDC reported that in the US a rate… Read more »

With these articles, I didn’t want to hold back your attention on the numbers but on the suspension vaccines. As already mentioned, we don’t disclose publicly the deaths because we want to continue the vaccination. For example, how many kids in good health of 10 years and under died of the COVID? ZERO? How many kids in good health of 10 years and under died of the vaccines? Then, should we vaccine all the people including the people not at risk of complications with EXPERIMENTAL vaccines considering only the aspect “health” and not the aspect “politic”? Ask the question is… Read more »

Thank you, Yan, but this is the last thing I am going to say concerning this…as it was the first I said. You claimed that the vaccines kill more people than COVID. This is false. End of story.

Yan Girard

For several groups of people, this is true. Do your research. End of story.

Nick Chapman

Yan NAILED it. 👍

Oh dude, you are so insightful. Wow, totally blown away. Why aren’t you a leading voice on a national stage? Man, everyone else is just stupid compared to you. Hmmm, if six feet “works”, why the mask? You’re a regular freakin Mensa.

Chris Krauss

“If the mask works, why the six feet?” etc. etc. etc. etc. In the highly unlikely event that you’re actually posing those questions in the pursuit of legitimate answers, that information has been available from myriad sources for over a year and a half now. You’d have to be purposely avoiding it. This obtuse narrative has existed since the onset of this whole pandemic and frankly it’s getting really tiresome. Stop pretending you know more than epidemiologists, virologists, and the countless people who’ve made it their life’s ambition to study this stuff on your behalf. I don’t watch YouTube videos… Read more »

Yan Girard

I don’t pretend to know more than the specialists as epidemiologists and virologists. The pandemic management is rely on the POLITIC and not the
HEALTH. This is a fact. Several specialists are censored and other sustained a
pressure in the same way that the rest of the population. Who do you think that
I am believing between specialists that take risk to lose reputation, take risk
to lose their work, that don’t sell NONE vaccines and NONE pharmaceuticals
versus specialists that are employed at the government? Who is the more credible? Thank you.

Yan, It is good to completely agree with you on something even if it is only partially hockey related.

I came for some wingnuttery. I’m not disappointed.

Ryan Krueger

The problem with politics today is name calling. Instead of responsibly answering Yan with your facts you resort to ad hominem attacks. I agree with Yan but respect your right to disagree but not calling him a name. You can do better than that…

Because of this comment? You assume too much.

John Doe

I guess I’ll be getting in touch about a refund for the rest of the season. I’m vaccinated, but this is ridiculous. Would be one thing if Ball Arena was causing increased transmission, but this decision does not seem to be data-driven at all. Plus, wearing a mask sucks.

Karl Keen

You should want a refund because of the way the Avs are playing

[…] The Ball Center, the home of the Colorado Avalanche, were not mandating masks or checking for identification upon entrance to the arena. Three home games in and changes are coming. Coming November 10, all fans must show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter. (Colorado Hockey Now) […]
