MacKinnon Avalanche

Good news for Colorado Avalanche fans, good news for Nathan MacKinnon fantasy owners, bad news for the Chicago Blackhawks – the Avalanche’s opening-night opponent Wednesday night: MacKinnon was back at practice today, in a full-contact jersey.

MacKinnon left practice early on Saturday, after he “tweaked” something, Jared Bednar said. He was back, on a line with Mikko Rantanen and Artturi Lehkonen.

That has been the big takeaway from practice so far. J.T. Compher is skating again, in a non-contact jersey and Jacob MacDonald was out before practice skating on his own, in a non-contact jersey. He did not stay for regular practice.
